Catalogic Software’s CloudCasa SaaS solution was named a leader and outperformer in the GigaOm Radar for Kubernetes Data Protection report. CloudCasa was among 14 Kubernetes backup and DR solutions evaluated and earned high scores from GigaOm analysts to be one of only three vendors rated as both a leader and outperformer.

Catalogic Software is a data protection company providing backup and recovery solutions, including its flagship DPX product. CloudCasa by Catalogic offers cloud data protection, migration, and disaster recovery as a service for Kubernetes applications and cloud data services.

GigaOm noted CloudCasa’s user-friendly SaaS and deep integration with Azure, AWS and GCP.

CloudCasa is a very complete data protection solution. As a SaaS solution, it’s easy to deploy and manage,” said GigaOm. “Its deep integration with AWS, Azure, and GCP makes data protection of cloud resources (including databases) a breeze.”

The publication rated the solution highly across criteria such as interoperability, environmental awareness, application and data migration and data integrity and security.

CloudCasa says it offers a comprehensive disaster recovery service for Kubernetes applications running on Azure AKS, Amazon EKS and Google GKE. The service provides multi-cloud protection and hybrid cloud integration.

“CloudCasa by Catalogic has earned a leader position on our Radar for Kubernetes Data Protection as it seamlessly solves real-world pain points for data protection and data migration in Kubernetes,” said Enrico Signoretti, a research project manager at GigaOm.

In addition, the GigaOm Radar for Kubernetes Data Protection report highlighted that CloudCasa offers mature security features for containers, networks and configurations and provides best practices benchmark scanning. It complies with AWS’s strict security requirements, including multi-factor authentication, fraud and brute force attack detection and SOC2/ISO27001 compliance.

“It supports data-at-rest and in-flight encryption and ransomware protection features, including immutability. It also supports private connectivity connecting on-premises backup targets or source clusters and CloudCasa’s service,” the report continued.
