Know what the agent-based model covers
DPX protects the operating system and workload inside the VM. It does not register a Xen host as an agentless backup source, create a hypervisor snapshot, or restore Xen VM configuration.

No. DPX Client runs inside each protected guest. The backup job covers supported data and applications within that operating system rather than the Xen VM object or host configuration.
